Boyan Slat was only 18 when he founded The Ocean Cleanup. A project to rid the ocean of all waste.
Slat learned from the age of 16 about the enormous garbage patches (called gyres) that plagued our oceans and made it his mission to rid rivers and oceans of this waste.
